owner and head trainer Rebecca Gamez

Animals of all kinds have always been a huge part of my life, but my strongest connection has been with dogs. There’s something special about our bond with dogs. In fact, “humans and dogs are the only two species know to seek visual cues from each other’s eyes. And dogs only do it wth humans.” (FACTS by Guff)

My favorite thing is to watch this interaction between a dog and their human especially if it wasn’t there before. It’s so rewarding to help families find peace, happiness and connection!

When I was just 11 years old, I started training by enrolling my West Highland White Terrier puppy in obedience class. Throughout childhood and into adulthood I continued to attend classes with various dogs and trainers but often felt there was a lack of understanding between dog and owner - a disconnection. I also became disappointed when trainers failed to address owner’s concerns adequately which left the owners and dogs confused and frustrated.

That disappointment lead to a desire to find answers that work and connect those missing pieces. In the process of finding answers, I’ve experienced raising puppies, fostering for rescues and shelters, assisting veterinarians, and personally having a total of 17 ( I hope I didn’t leave anyone out lol) dogs and nine different breeds. Over the past several years, I’ve dove into learning from experienced and successful experts in the dog world ranging from trainers of all different disciplines, from behaviorists to veterinarians, to nutritional experts and holistic practitioners. I’ve spent literally hundreds of hours learning by live instruction, hands-on practice, video presentation, written studies, and teaching both owners and fellow professionals. Now you and your dog can benefit from all my ongoing education and experience.

Today, my goal is to provide clear instruction that builds the bond between dog and owner and looks at the whole dog, not just a few problem behaviors. Once an owner and dog can communicate and be understood, a path will be open to allow their goals to be reached together. This is what relationships and teamwork are all about!
