Owner and Head Dog Trainer Rebecca Gamez

There’s something special about our bond with dogs.

My favorite thing is to watch this bond flourish between a dog and their human in a mutually beneficial way. It’s so rewarding to help families find peace, happiness, and connection!

Animals of all kinds have always been a central part of my life, but my strongest connection has been with dogs. When I was just 11 years old, I started training by enrolling my West Highland White Terrier puppy in obedience class. Throughout childhood and into adulthood, I continued to attend classes with various dogs and trainers, but often felt there was a lack of understanding between dog and owner - a disconnection. I also became disappointed when trainers failed to adequately address owners’ concerns, leaving owners and dogs confused and frustrated.

Coach for Dogs and People

That disappointment led to a desire to find answers that work and connect those missing pieces. In the process of finding answers over the past several years, I’ve dived deep into learning from experienced and successful experts in the dog world, ranging from trainers of various disciplines to behaviorists, veterinarians, nutritional experts, and holistic practitioners. My goal is to provide clear instruction that builds a bond between dog and owner and addresses the whole dog, not just a few problem behaviors. I’ve spent literally hundreds of hours learning by live instruction, hands-on practice, video presentation, written studies, and teaching both owners and fellow professionals. In addition, my own personal journey has caused me to focus on understanding complex trauma in both dogs and people and how to facilitate healing. I don’t just train dogs, I heal the relationship between stressed dogs and overwhelmed humans by addressing the root cause: emotional dysregulation. When we build skills that equip our system to handle stress, we can expand our capacity to make lasting change.

Now you and your dog can benefit from all my ongoing education and experience.
